Data

Tax Projection uses residential property tax bill data sourced from Mass. public records for all 350 municipalities in the state. Data reflects over two decades of fiscal history.

Projections

Town-level projections are based on each municipality's historical tax bill growth rate. Rates are moderated over the projection period to account for long-run uncertainty. Projections assume current assessed value and do not model home value appreciation.

Limitations

Results are estimates only. This tool does not account for Proposition 2½ override votes, individual exemptions or abatements, or changes in assessed value over time. Actual tax liability will vary.
